Welcome to the GARAGE, where you can see what is and has been going on project wise. I am currently working on an '82 kat that has been fitted with zx12 suspension by Richard out in ONtario. My job is to finish the fabricating and build out here on the west coast. Some of the fun includes rebuild the motor,frame bracing, rear sets, frame smoothing, 1981 gs 1100E tail section and hiding all the electrics (yosh 1135 style) as the owner wants to see a big air whole through the center of the bike.
Just a note, '82 kats are now eligible for classic statis which means no border issues. Now that the 82 kats are 25yrs old they are exempt from EPA and DOT, no duty....no hassle getting them across from Canada. I live 20 minutes from the Blaine WA. border which makes it easy for pick up too for anyone who may be interested in having a custom built katana for themselves. Door to door shipping in the lower 48 is as low as 550.00 usd.
